R.I.P. Dad
My heroic, smarter than Google, tough as nails, afraid of nobody & anything even death and extremely funny Father has passed after a short and courageous painful battle with stomach cancer. My father passed with his beautiful wife of 51 years right by his side, left side as he would say closest to my 💓 he was surrounded by his loving family. It really was a beautiful experience on Sunday evening when the Pastor came to read him his last rights he was alert and surrounded by his family he called everyone to his bed one by one gave them a hug, kiss and told each one he loved them and don't be sad, he told myself and Debi LoBue Corboy To tell Shane he's so proud of him and he loves him and stay the course his future is bright. My father was so looking forward to Shane's graduation from the Marines boot camp my father is a DAV served in the Navy during Vietnam. God is truly amazing my father courageously battled Monday and Tuesday surrounded by family then my amazing brother inlaw came in with the mail a letter to Nana & Papa from Shane my father didn't want anyone crying around him, he wanted to laugh and joke until the end we we're all crying after Shane's letter was read. My father was diagnosed with stomach cancer a week after Shane left for boot camp we haven't told Shane in any of our letters to him and my father didn't want us to tell him if he passed away it would be to big of a emotional distraction for Shane, as with all my father's grandchildren he had a special bond with each and everyone, man could he make them laugh like no one else could. The stories my father would tell them, he had been through and seen alot, he had an unbelievable memory most couldn't match right until the end. Truly an amazing man and I'm so proud to be your son love you forever Dad thanks for everything you taught all of us.

John, Phil, your dad was one of the first men to greet me when I started nearly 25 years ago. He was always gracious to me and treated me with respect for that I am grateful. So, sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family find peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all today. Uncle John was a great man. We have many fond memories of when you all would come to Ireland. I remember as a child thinking uncle John was the tallest and strongest man in the world. Unfortunately we cannot be with you all today but we are there in spirit and we will light a candle here to remember Uncle John today.
Love always
Maria, Eddie, Lily & Pete 💚💛
