Dorothy L. (Getchell) Baker
Dorothy L. (Getchell) Baker, of Randolph, passed away February 3, 2018 at the age of 94. Born in Abington, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Randolph where she graduated from Stetson High School and was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur M. Baker, Sr.. Loving mother of Ellen L. Willette of Randolph and the late Arthur M. Baker, Jr.. Dear sister of Wanda, Susan, and the late Robert Getchell, Walter A. Getchell, Jr., and Ruth Ryan. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph on Sunday, February 11th from 11:30am-2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to the First Congregational Church, 1 So. Main St., Randolph, MA 02368.

She lived a very long life full of love and respect. She was an amazing woman who I truly loved. Funny story - she was at Good Sam as a patirent and I had to call Ellen (my best friend) to ask her first name. I had always called her Gramma so had no clue. Loved her and Art as my own parents. May she rest in peace now that she and Grampa are reunited.

So sorry to hear this, she was my other mom. She will be missed by all. A shame she was called home the same year as Dan. So hard for all of you.
