I do not even know where to begin....how can I say goodbye and put behind me nearly 30 years of friendship, sisterhood. It was always the 6 of us...and while we all had other friends of course, we were always "the crew". I will miss you sis, I already do. We miss you every day on our group chat, and I still send my "sexy legs" references you loved to see (private joke). Que la terre te soit légère. And while we can never fill the void caused by your untimely death, I for one will always celebrate you and keep your memory alive within our crew. You are and always will be our "grandma" and the now missing link of the Haitian Golden Girls.
I love you and will always keep you with me😘

My sweet Regine,

There is no word to say good bye to you. I keep going back to that summer you spent with us in Naples.

During your courageous battle with your illness, you told me in one of our conversations that at one point, you were asking yourself " why me?" . Now I am asking myself "why her?" You are such a beautiful human being , a good soul.... Why did you have to leave us? So many things that I would like to tell you. .... Faith has decided otherwise. All I can say is that our destiny is set...

My deepest and sincere sympathies to all those who love you, specially to your Mom, Dad, Sarah and your brothers.

With Love,

Ta marraine

Dear Regine,

I can't believe we are having to do this. It hurts. It's hard to accept and understand why you were taken away so soon and had to live through such a tough journey. I am trying to find comfort in God, believing you are with him and in a better place. Everytime I reminisce about the fun time we had in Naples with tatie Asseline, my heart aches. I am praying for you and for your family to find courage and comfort in God. You will be greatly missed.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to the entire family specially my father Gilles (though we have been estranged for many many years) I am so deeply saddened by this and have no means to reach out to you when my sister Regine has passed. I know the Lord will see you through and comfort you in the difficult time. Though i don’t have a lifetime of memories with Gine, I am incredible affected by her death and regret enormously the times i missed out with her and not being able to be there for her when she could have needed me the most...my heart goes out to you and my siblings, You are all in my prayers as always...
with love and affection

I still can't believe that you are GONE. It's not easy hearing that a fellow classmate is no longer with us. Praying that God will give your family strength during this difficult time. I will still remember you with the little time we had in elementary school.
You will be Greatly Missed by Many.
A Prayer for your family:

Dear God,
Please wrap your arms around Regine's family and friends today and let them feel your love and strength through this devastating time.

Dear Reg,
Finding the strength to write you today wasn’t easy. It took me a few times to finally read your obituary until the end and try to imagine saying goodbye. “Goodbye” was not part of this chapter of our lives, at least not until we were old and gray and still making jokes about each other. We, the Haitian Golden Girls, were going to enjoy life, work hard, go on vacations, watch each other’s kids grow and try to do many other good things that life has to offer.
Reg, my mom has a whole album of my kindergarten years and you are in a lot of the pictures; That’s how long I’ve known you for, Sis. We call you the Granma of the group because you were so prude and reserved but sometimes when you come out of your shell; we were too excited to see that side of you.
Reg, I miss you, we all miss you. I still can’t say goodbye because it feels so unfair and truthfully I am not ready for it. So what I’ll do, like we always do, I will say go get some rest my beloved friend. You always say: “Bon Mesdames, Granma is going to catch some sleep”. Well go ahead my friend, get some rest.
I love you and I will always carry you in my heart. My sincere condolences to the family and to Steve. Stay strong.

Dear Regine,
I can’t believe that you are gone, what a complete shock. We were not close friend but weI knew each other since Haiti going to the same school, I’m happy to say to I was glad to see you at a fellow classmate wedding, never thought it would be the last. You were such a calm person, even when you walked you can see the calmest in you lol. Now you in a better place, no more suffering. Rest In Peace
