Michael R. McKenzie
Michael R. McKenzie, of Canton, formerly of Randolph, passed away suddenly at home on January 1, 2017 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Marie (Gallagher) McKenzie. Loving father of Kathryn McKenzie Lee and her husband Andrew of Arizona, Kyle McKenzie and Elizabeth McKenzie, both of Canton. Son of Virginia Lane of Florida. Also survived by his brother, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Michael was a double-eagle Boston College graduate. He cherished spending time in Martha’s Vineyard with his wife and children, loved watching his son play baseball, and enjoyed his time as a Randolph Pop Warner coach.
Funeral from the, Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph on Thursday, January 5th at 9:15am followed by a funeral mass at St. Bernadette’s Church in Randolph at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, January 4th from 4-8pm. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory can be made to the Canton Food Pantry, 960R Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.

My deepest Condolences to the family of Mike McKenzie I have only worked at Mass Mutual for the passed 5 months and his impact on me was great. He used to joke with me about my New York accent! I am grateful for the short time I worked with him.

Very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Mike coached me and my friends from the 4th grade through 8th grade in football. Mike was a big part of all of our childhoods and we all have great memories of those times. Our senior year in High School we dedicated our last game to Mike because we knew he hated Hingham so much. We all loved Mike very much. He left an impact on all of us that I don't think he fully knew.

So so sorry to hear about Mike, what a shock! I hope you can find some solace in sunny memories. I will never forget the sight of Mike jogging down the 18th fairway on the 2010 golf course in Cardiff, never laughed so hard in my life. So sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. I only met him 5 years ago but he was a great character and a huge inspiration to us all in Cardiff.
