Dee will forever be remembered as talented, caring, loving, and loyal. We spoke almost every day by phone and there was never a time when she didn't share how much she missed her husband and her mother, how much she cared about her brother Mark and her other family embers. Dee took pride in chatting about her cousin Linda and Bunny. She loved all her neices and nephews. Dee was a loyal fan to the Patriots, Tom Brady, loved the Red Sox and Poppi. Dee would chat with me hours on end about Boston and the pride she had for being from Dorchester. Dee and I would watch Bluebloods and SVU. She adored Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck. Dee loved Chris Meloni. We had just watched the season opener of SVU, texting back and forth about who was more handsome. She defended Chris Meloni, I defended Dylan McDermott. We laughed and joked so many times about her Boston accent and my southern Atlanta accent. Our best laughs came when we traveled to London and spent the weekend chasing down George Michael's cousin. That was epic. We got along great, I will miss Dee. I will miss her talent in crocheting. She was aces at it. To her family, she loved you all so much and looked forward to being able to put smiles on your faces once she was well. To Glenda, Dee cared very much for you and your family too. There is so much more I can say, but I will just simply say, I will miss Dee tremendously. Rest in peace my friend. Cathy

This has taken me a while to write. My heart is so sad but I know she is with Joe but I. just. miss. her.
Dee and I have been friends since 1996. Certainly not as long as most, but I have always treasured our friendship. I never met her either, have I mentioned that? We met on America Online in a chatroom called Thirtysomething2 where so many of us became very good friends through the years. My husband and I got married in New York at one of our Thirtysomething2 monthly internet parties. Dee made me an Indian bride doll with the crocheted dress made using the colors of our wedding. It is on my bed and I have treasured it from the day she sent it to me. She had such a giving and kind soul. When she worked at the fabric company she sent me yards and yards of material to make myself scrubs for work. I still have some I haven't used.
She made my husband something cute as a practical joke Those that know her well and loved her snicker when she was being ornery I'm sure have a visual. I smile now thinking about all the years of our dear friendship that are now coming to a temporary close til we meet again in Heaven.
To her family and friends, you were so blessed to have been able to hug and share a meal or a drink with her. I never got that pleasure. Please always cherish the memories you had with her as I will. I love you Dee, til we meet again.
