The Byron Family:
We are so saddened by the loss of your dad. We lived in Avana with your dad on same floor, and everyone knew him. He was the Mayor of Avana. I'm going to miss our elevator rides and talks. He was a great and funny man, always had his wit!! May your fond memories of your dad, get you thru the horrible time. You are in our thoughts and prayers, sorry we couldn't make the services, as we are away. RIP Tom, we will miss seeing you......Irish(Eileen); Bob & Douglas McNally

My deepest sympathy to Robyn, Chrissy, Kyle , and entire family of Tom. He was a great man who gave his help and support to me when I needed advice . A man of wisdom !
He will be missed . It was not long ago he called me at work “just because” ! And always ended his conversations with “ if no one has told you they love you today , I do !
Rest easy Tom with the love of your life !
I’m sorry that I will not be able to attend the military ceremony and celebration of his life , but Tom and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers . Susan Burns

Tom liked to see me coming, it meant storytime. We would both lean up against his car and off he went. He started with his late wife, oh how he loved her. Then he would go to his kids, then grandchildren, and finally great-grandkids. He was a loving family man, anyone could see that. I took to him immediately, because he reminded me of my dad who was a funny and loving family man. The last time I saw him which was a few days before he passed, he kissed me on my forehead, almost like he was saying goodbye. RIP my dear friend.

So sorry to read of the passing of my former neighbor Tom. For more than three decades he would keep us informed of the going’s on in our building and in the community. It was always comforting to see him sitting on his balcony with his newspaper and bantering with anyone from our building. He was always the Mayor of Med Woods to us. My deepest condolence to his immediate and extended family.

I knew your dad for many year through the support group that he ran at South Shore Hospital - he was a terrific facilitator, encouraging to all and making each one feel important. He always had a positive outlook and a whole lot of charm and good humor. I've missed him the past couple of years already. My sincere condolences...
